I'm trying to find out if there is a tribe for Burning Man Performers, or performers in general. When you "Browse Tribes" and do a search, it takes you to a Google result with thousands of hits that include individual postings, not just a list of tribes. Is there a way to browse/view a list of tribes? Seems like Tribe should handle this in a different way - an internal search of the list of Tribes rather than a generic Google search.
Thanks,
Scott

Re: Finding an Existing Tribe
Tue, January 15, 2008 - 6:27 PMtribe should and they did. but as far as I know the search is broken )o: also means we can't search in private tribes as they are not googleable. I'll be very happy when they fix it.
My suggestion for your specific issue is to ask in the burning man tribe -

Re: Finding an Existing Tribe - BROWSE suggestion
Mon, April 20, 2009 - 4:30 PMWould it be possible for the "Browse Tribes" function to have sub-groups? Right now, you click on, say, music, and you get all 5000+ music tribes listed is some order. I realize each tribe would have to sub-categorize, but that should be straightforward.
Example:
Find a tribe about live music in Los Angeles
- Music - By Location - California - Los Angeles - Live/venue
or
- Music - Live/Venue - By Location - - - etc.
Or does this already exist?
